Registration

Registration Fee: There will be an annual registration/admin fee of R250.00 per swimmer payable. This amount is payable upon registration and on 1 January annually. Should a swimmer give notice and wish to rejoin, in the same year, the registration/admin fee will be payable upon rejoining.

Swimming Fees: Fees are payable in advance before the 1st of each month. Fees are payable through direct transfer (EFT) or Stop Order. Please note that no lessons will be given if fees are overdue. Please arrange a stop order or scheduled payment with your bank.

Facility Fee: There is an annual facility fee of R600 per “Little Sharks” family. This amount may be paid quarterly (R150/term).

Lesson Times: Lessons run strictly on time and time will not be added due to a swimmer being late. Please understand that we do not have play-space in the pool while lessons are in progress. Allow others to enjoy uninterrupted lessons by fetching your child on time after their lesson.

Make-up Lessons: Lessons will only be made-up if Little Sharks Swim School cancels. There will be no refunds or deductions made due to missed or cancelled lessons.

Little Sharks Swim School cannot be held accountable for acts of God (hazardous weather, lightning, natural disasters, etc.); therefore lessons cancelled due to an act of God are not guaranteed to be made up. If more than 2 lessons are cancelled in one month due to act of God then we will do our best to accommodate a make-up lesson (subject to available space).

Swimming Equipment: All swimmers must wear a swimming cap at all times. All toddlers are to wear a swim nappy during lessons. Please bring a pair of goggles. If the need is there for swimmers to buy any extra equipment we will let you know in advance.

Public Holidays: There will be no swimming on a public holiday. There will be no make-ups, refunds or deductions made due to public holidays.

School Holidays: There will be swimming lessons during school holidays. We will take a break at the end of the swimming season (March/April) and end of year break (Dec/Jan), annually.

December / January: Fees are payable in full for the months of December and January.

Notice: Notice period is one (1) term. Any cancellations and/or reduction in the number of slots booked, per week, without written notice will still be liable to pay one (1) terms swimming fees in return for the notice. Please understand that we require the notice in order to place another swimmer in that slot. Notice must be given in writing and sent to [email protected]

Notice to be received: 1 Jan - 31 March: to end 30 June and fees payable until 30 June.
Notice to be received: 1 April - 30 June: to end 30 September and fees payable until 30 September.
Notice to be received: 1 July - 30 September: to end 31 December and fees payable until 31 December.
Notice to be received: 1 October - 31 December: to end 31 March and fees payable until 31 March.

Changing Facilities /Bathrooms: Please arrive dressed and ready for your lesson. A parka/gown is recommended. Please use the change rooms if you do need to change, strictly NO CHANGING in the pool area – this is for the safety of our swimmers.

Accompanied Minors: Children are not allowed to use the swimming pool and/or the associated amenities and/or facilities unless they are accompanied by an adult.

Billing / Invoices: Fees are payable with or without an invoice. Our preferred method of payment is a bank stop order. It is your responsibility to ensure that the swimming fees and facility fees are paid timeously.

Annual Swimming Fee: Little Sharks Swim School will increase the swimming fees annually. Parents will be advised at least one (1) month prior to any increase.

Waiver: (1) I acknowledge that the use of any pool or its surrounds can be dangerous and that there are risks of injury to myself. (2) I undertake to inspect the pool area and surrounds of any pool to be used and to acquaint myself of the nature thereof. (3) I (and my heirs or executors) hereby waive and abandon any claim which I could possibly have: against Little Sharks Swim School / venue owner / its employees, assistants or sub-contractors, for any personal or patrimonial loss or damage that may be suffered by me as a result of the tuition or training to be received by me at or the use of the area leading up to the facilities adjacent to or necessary for the proper use of, the immediate surrounds of, and the pool itself where the tuition or training is to be offered from time to time, and which damages are caused by my instruction of employees, assistants, sub-contractors, my own; or other person’s negligence or by the act of any animal or insect, or any defect in the construction or design of the pool, its surrounds of the facilities or any other reason. (4) I waive and abandon any claim I might have against Little Sharks Swim School / venue owner for the loss or theft of, or damage to any property owned by me or under my care while on or near the premises where tuition or training is offered. (5) I acknowledge that any footage taken of me/my child might be used for marketing purposes and I grant permission to have videos of pictures taken of me/my child then I grant Little Sharks Swim School full use of such images/video footage to use in their discretion, including but not limited to use on their website, social media platforms, newsletters and direct text messages. I waive all right to compensation for the use of my image.

The Swim School runs on 4 terms per annum.
Term 1 – January/ February/ March.
Term 2 – April/ May/June.
Term 3 – July/ August/ September.
Term 4 - October/ November/ December.
